It’s a buildable scale based on how consentual, how taboo, and how heavy the kinks within are. Not everything listed in the scale is in every book. As an example: a book with light dub-con, but featuring beasts is automatically a 2 Dove. In regards to ratings, I opt for the highest tier of content it fits with for reader comfort.
