How does the Dove Scale work? Located on the top left corner of every Dove book is a stamp with a number. It serves as a quick visual reference guide to the tags and triggers within. It’s a buildable scale based on how consentual, how taboo, and how heavy the kinks within are. Not everything listed in the scale is in every book. For specifics, visit the book’s page on Dove’s website where tags for every book are listed. All 1-5 dove books have a guaranteed happy ending.

As an example: a book with light dub-con, but featuring beasts is automatically a 2 Dove. In regards to ratings, I opt for the highest tier of content it fits with for reader comfort.
